Nikon EM SLR – For a photography beginner or not?

I just received a very nice Nikon EM SLR camera with a Nikon Series E 50mm 1.8. Many hit up eBay looking for a simple film camera to start learning photography with. So is this the camera a student/beginner should get? Is the Nikon EM for a photography beginner or not?

What do you think then? I do really like this camera, absolutely. Make sure you get a camera that has new foams and seals if possible. These old nikon film slr bodies are fantastic especially when you consider that around thirty years later they are still working a treat, but just be careful, you may need to change one or two minor pieces. It is way more satisfying to use a camera like this. And you learn a lot… check out the next video in my next post!
